Dinglo ("the app") is a virtual instrument app for Android — handpan, tongue drum, kalimba, singing bowls, steel pan and gong — published by Hugo Software. We collect no personal data.

Sounds are made on your device

Every sound is generated on your phone by the app's own sound engine. Nothing is streamed and nothing you play is sent anywhere.

Microphone (Tuner only)

The Tuner helps you check a real instrument. When you tap Start listening on the Tuner screen, the app uses the microphone to measure the pitch of the note you play. The microphone audio is analysed live on your device only. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Listening stops when you tap Stop or leave the Tuner screen. The microphone is not used anywhere else in the app.

Recordings

The Library lets you record what you play. Recordings are made from the app's own sound output, not from the microphone, and are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. A recording leaves your device only if you choose to share it through Android's share sheet.

What is stored, and where

Your settings, chosen instrument and scale, your custom scales and your recordings are kept only on your device. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours that stores your data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everything.

No advertising, no analytics

The app contains no advertising SDK, reads no advertising ID, and contains no third-party analytics and no crash-reporting SDK. There is no tracking and no profiling.

Network activity

The app works fully offline. The only network traffic is Google Play Billing, handled by Google Play services on your device, to show prices and check your subscription — and opening these legal pages in your browser when you tap them.

Subscriptions and payment

Dinglo Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. Your subscription status is read from Google Play on your device.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Deleting your data

All data lives only on your device: delete recordings and custom scales in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. See the data removal page. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription; cancel in Google Play > Subscriptions.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address.
